About our store

On August 16th, 2004, Jesse James opened the doors to In the Zone Pro Shop for its first day of business inside of our orginal location, Royal Crest Lanes. His mission was to create better bowlers by any means necessary. Whether this meant giving the customer a lesson, changing the bowler's fit, or recommending the proper ball for the situation, Jesse was obsessed with helping players be as good as they could be.

After successfully improving many customers' games, he expanded to a second location inside of Park Lanes in Shawnee, KS. In the Zone continued their mission and their philosophy of creating better bowlers, not just trying to sell product, expansion came quickly.   Location #3 was opened June 2006 at West Ridge Lanes in Topeka, KS.

With three stores, In the Zone was quickly gaining the reputation of the place to go for players who want to improve their game. We wanted to continue our mission and education process of helping players be as good as they wanted. So in August of 2008, we opened our Olathe Lanes East store.

With the west side of the KC metro area covered, it was time to take our mission to the Northland at AMF Pro Bowl. We opened our AMF Pro Bowl store in 2009. With the Northland covered, we decided the south-east metro area needed some love, so in January 2010 we opened our 6th store inside of Aaron's Family Fun Center.

Despite the fact that over time, some faces change, you can count on this; at In the Zone Pro Shop, it is our mission to help you become the best bowler you can be! From our owner, down to our part time employees, our mission will always be to help customers become the best bowler they want to be!
